NEW BUSINESS:
Insurance: Terrence brought up the issue and his discoveries concerning health insurance saying that while there are some good rates, our enrollment numbers are not high enough to give us a
break (meaning people within UMMAS).
Scholarships: For the record, Allison Mann mentioned that scholarships from UMMAS for Licensed Unity Teachers are $500.00 a year, and for Field Licensing $500.00, and are by request to the
UMMAS Board.
Support for Mark Malachi: There was discussion by Catherine, Steve Bolen and others about Mark Malachi's present health status and his needs.
Catherine suggested we sell his CDs at Kanuga, and it was concluded that a confidential grant be given to Mark Malachi. (see
By-laws relative to confidential grants.)
BOARD TRAINING: The Training will take place at Chad's church in
Fletcher (near Asheville) NC. Rooms are available at the Fairfield Inn. Rev. Carole O'Connell will be the keynote speaker. There was discussion about how to get special needs to be integrated into Carole's platform so that they are addressed.
Kathleen suggested that comments for Carole be sent to Chad who would compile them and then talk with Carole, with a cutoff date of May 15th for information to Carole.
Chad asked that people be at the church by 7:00 pm on Friday. Saturday lunch is
arranged at the church (provided by UMMAS.)
WHERE TO HOLD THE SE REGIONAL MEETING IN 2007: Open discussion ensued with suggestions for Lake Lanier.
DATES FOR KANUGA CONFIRMED: final approved dates for Kanuga will be August 29th through September 1st. The next Board meeting will be at Kanuga.
The meeting was closed with prayer.
